SITE OPERATIONS

Capture who is on site and what happened today

Use site workflows to record attendance, briefings and daily work, then carry those records into the site diary.

Record site sign-ins at the gate

Workers can sign in from a site poster using their phone. A project can also use a gate tablet, which supports the site pass on a phone or a code sent to the worker's mobile.

The sign-in record supports the site's attendance workflow. It is not a location-tracking or geofencing claim.

Record the pre-start meeting

Record the day's planned work, hazards, controls and attendees before work begins. A pre-start can be for the whole site or a crew.

Pre-start records feed into the site diary, so the daily project record can draw on what was discussed at the start of work.

Draft and sign off a daily site diary

Start a diary entry for the day and review the records it can draw from, including sign-ins, pre-starts, inspections and permits. Add weather, work completed, delays and other notes.

A supervisor can sign off the day, locking the entry. Later corrections are recorded as amendments rather than silently changing the signed diary.

SITE OPERATIONS

Keep equipment and shift changes under control

Record the checks that make equipment usable, and pass unfinished work to the next shift with a clear acknowledgement.

Track plant, service dates and pre-start checks

Keep each plant or equipment item with its status, service information and operator requirements. Scan its tag to start a pre-start check.

A failed check can take equipment out of service and raise an issue for follow-up. The register shows when an item is available, in use or out of service.

Reserve equipment for a project

Book shared equipment for the dates it is needed on a project. Two confirmed bookings for the same item cannot overlap.

Where a type of plant requires a licence, the booking checks that the nominated operator meets the recorded licence requirement.

Hand unfinished work to the next shift

Start a shift handover from the open items on site, including unfinished tasks, open issues, hazards and permits. Add the detail the next crew needs.

The receiving shift reads and acknowledges the handover. Once acknowledged, the handover is locked as a record of what was passed on.

Use site workflows on a phone

Site workflows are designed for people working away from an office, including phone-based sign-in, equipment tag scans and on-site records.

Without signal, a phone saves site sign-ins, task comments and evidence photos, issue and incident reports with photos, diary notes and pre-start confirmations. They send when the phone is back online, and a waiting list shows what has not been sent yet.

Decisions still need a connection. Approving work, issuing a permit, releasing a hold point or recording a payment is not saved for later.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Site operations, clearly explained.

Does the site diary start as a blank page?

No. It can draw in that day's sign-ins, pre-starts, inspections and permits. The supervisor reviews and completes the entry before signing it off.

Can the whole site app work offline?

No. A phone can save the records made on site without signal, such as sign-ins, comments, photos, reports, diary notes and pre-start confirmations. Anything that needs a decision, such as an approval or a permit being issued, needs a connection.
